Brookshire Retreat POA Architectural Control Committee Building Plans/Property Modifications Review & Approval Request Form 

 

 The Architectural Control Committee (ACC) exists to help ensure consistent application of design criteria and requirements included in the Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (CC&R’s) and Architectural Specifications and Standards

. All proposed exterior changes to homes and landscaping must be reviewed and approved by this committee prior to work commencing. Examples of property improvements include (but not limited to) mailboxes, fences, patio enclosures, roof type/colors, exterior lights, changing ANY exterior paint colors, addition of more living or garage space, patio covers, or significant changes to the landscaping in your yard. POA Executive Board meets bimonthly or as needed to review all new project applications at that time. (The POA will make an attempt to work with homeowner’s schedules if reviews are required sooner than the next scheduled meeting) Description of proposed additions/changes: (attach additional pages if required) Contractor(s) involved: ____________________________________________________ Permit Required: ___Yes ___No Permits are administered by the City of Kingsland. Note: It is the responsibility of the homeowner to ensure that the project meets all applicable local building codes and permit requirements. Please contact the City of Kingsland if you are unsure about codes/permits. 1 Attach separate documents as needed for projects: Site plan: This is necessary if you’re completing construction / renovations; for example, a patio cover, or an enclosed sun room. Drawing for Yard work: Show what kind of trees / plants will be planted and where in your yard. You may want to provide a color photo of the home / yard with an overlay or drawing of what changes you’ll make Physical Color samples: The ACC cannot except via email. We need to see the color; and, you may have to have a sample applied to the home if requested by ACC. 

HOMEOWNER’s REQUEST & ACKNOWLEDGEMENT I request the information submitted here be reviewed by the Brookshire Retreat POA ACC for approval of the work described here with any attached documentation. By my signature below, I acknowledge and attest I am the Homeowner of Record for the property named above, and I attest the information is true, correct and complete, and have been reviewed by Homeowner for compliance with Brookshire Retreat Covenants. I understand the CC&R’s for Brookshire Retreat POA require prior approval for landscaping, building, renovation and additional work on the property. Further, I understand if any substantive information submitted for approval is found to have been withheld or misrepresented, the ACC may revoke, amend or set aside any prior approval made. In such case, the Homeowner may be liable for other costs and CC&R Violations pertaining to the fault and any work necessary to correct a deficiency.
